THE BOY
Name: Tani
Age: 9
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Appearance: Short and skinny. White hair and dark copper skin. Violet eyes with oval pupils. He is covered with half-healed wounds and dark bruises, like he has been beaten very badly.
Personality: He is withdrawn and anti-social. He seems to care only for the gryphlet he carries, but he will love anyone who gains his trust. He prefers animals to people.
Powers: He is psychic. He can read anyone's thoughts, or speak in their minds, but his abilities are especially strong with non-humans.
Background/History: His parents died when he was very young, and Streak's parents took him in and cared for him. One day the Mazives captured them. They planned to steal the gryphons' nine lives, but coiuldn't figure out how. When Tani refused to tell them, they tortured him. Furious at this treatment of their 'son', who was only trying to defend them, the adult gryphons attacked the Mazives. They were eventually killed, even their many lives overpowered my the sheer number o0f their opponents, but during the confusion Tani grabbed Streak and jumped overboard.

THE GRYPHLET
Name: Streak
Age: 8 months
Gender: Female
Species: Gryphon
Appearance: White, with silver streaks on her wings (hence the name). Blue eyes.
Personality: She is sweet and innocent. She trusts and loves Tani absolutely. She doesn't understand what happened to her parents, but Tani told her they 'went away' and that he'll take care of her now. Of course she believes him.
