Appearance: He's quite tall with a slightly lanky look to him, a decpetively puny air that is quickly dispelled. As he says it, he seems "at home in this skin". Get close, and the aura of predation is almost a physical odor. His hair is a sleek creation of blue-black that stays obediently in place on his pale forehead. Golden eyes glint hungrily as they unnerve those they center on. His teeth are a strange affair, when he grins, he still bears his big cat's fangs (explained in past and a tad in personality) which he will sometimes try to conceal.
Personality: Rathko is quite the charmer, believing firmly in a base of exceptional manners and practicing such beliefs unfailingly. Though this is true, he has a strong lust for hunting, which he does with his own self, dating back to his "origins" as a feline. He is possessed of a strange sense of humor, which can often disturb some viewers, though he shrouds his secrets well. His panther nature will shine through every once in awhile. When it begins to shine excessively, he's readying for a change. A spine chillingly intelligent and patient creature, he is often mistaken for something other than a human. Which would be a correct assumption.
Backround: A panther from the first, he was turned into a human by powerful sorceress Akire(hee hee!). He had been hunting in her woods and had killed her doe friend by mistake. Filled wih rage, she thought of the most helpless form he could assume, a human. Compassion, however, touched her heart at the sight of the beautiful animal reduced to a human. Though this was a new and frightening thing, he was allowed to bargain for his big cat hood. This means that he can become a panther whenever he wishes, but he cannot remain as one forever. To insure this, the sorceress placed upon his chest a mark in the shape of an hourglass. As his time in panther form runs low, the hourglass fades. Then he is human once more. Also, as a human, his senses were heightened (another gift of Akire's) and his teeth have remained feline. This gives him a somewhat vampirish look.
