Time....no beginning....no end
the graduated increments we exist in
are but a moment that passes in the blink of an eye
the people that pass through our life
stop for a second, just long enough to distort our perceptions
to confuse our grasp on reality
to convince us that love is eternal
when in reality it is a fleeting thing
all to often the love that one feels
is only temporarily shared by the other
is it the beginning
for if there is a beginning
then there must also be an end
as painful as my reality is
it is the one in which I reside
for every equal there is an opposite
for every pleasure there is pain
for every gain there is a loss
for every love there is a heart waiting to be broke
I have excepted this destiny
the only way I have found to circumvent it
live in the moment
for it is all we have
enjoy what life brings you
because all too soon it will take it away
worry not about your future
it does not exist until you create it
love with all your heart
because when it is gone the heart still remains
it remembers the pain
but it also remembers the pleasure
and if the pleasure was worth it
then you will love again
