The Appearance of An Angel

An angel suddenly appeared before me
Golden hair blazing in the glory of the night sky
Green eyes that call to me every time I see her
An impossible dream that came to an ordinary guy

The words she spoke to me echo through my mind
My thoughts racing to capture just a moment of her
And as if the stars in the heavens opened a path for me
I walked through the world bathed in the radiance of her heart

A gentleness that eased my burdens and my pain overtook me
A calmness that belongs in the hearts of lovers belonged to me
A pleasure that is like no other consumed and enveloped me
And a heart that was no longer empty of love soothed me

I gazed upon her realizing how special she must be
To be able to take a lost soul and give it so much pleasure
To mend a broken heart and never question the need
To come to a man who loves her beyond measure

We all feel the pain that comes from a broken heart
So now sweet angel let me return the love you gave to me
Now dearest one let me lift your spirit unto the wind
Now pretty lady I offer the dreams that can set you free

You will never want for love because mine is eternal
You will never need to fear because I hold your heart
You will never need a helping hand mine is always there
You will never need another, I have loved you from the start

So take my hand and walk with me
To a world of our own making
Live each moment like it was our last
No more hearts will be breaking

Trust in me I will be your truth
Believe in the love I feel for you
Know that I live for your pleasure
And my heart will always be true

An angel suddenly appeared before me
No more tears in those lovely green eyes
A dream became a reality on that night
With a love that neither can disguise
