Be proud Barack Obama is the one
Assigned to lead our nation for a while.
Reach out to him in faith, while his work’s done.
Avoid pretext … pretence … and don’t use guile.
Cherish him in your thoughts, and in your prayers.
Kindness, with Love and Trust, won’t leave arrears.
Heaven and Hell will tempt him where he walks,
Unless he’s God Almighty, not a Man….
Sugar won’t always sweeten words he talks,
Since salt, sometimes, buys more than sugar can.
Entrust him with the interests of this land.
In word and deed, he’ll leave us feeling grand.
Now on that path where saints and sinners tread,
Our President might falter; he might stray –
But we should follow, surely, while we’re led,
Assured that he will find … and keep … the way.
May God Supreme, and mortals here on Earth,
Assist, and help Obama … show his worth….
