*The evil that Stormrider had so quickly reprimanded had set off an instinctive reaction in Kash. Leaping out of the way, he raised his lip in a snarl, hackles raising. He quickly regains control of himself as he sees that Stormrider has everything under control. Settling onto dark haunches, he lets his eyes wander for a moment, picking out possible trouble-makers before turning his gaze back to the alpha. Bowing his head slightly, he speaks again.*

"Mah apologies, mah lady. Ah did nae mean tae offend. Ah must admit that ah am no' completely comfortable in yer territory. Ye wish tae know mah question...yet ah believe that perhaps ye already know whit ah will ask. Mah alphas, mah pack, and mahself would like tae know why 'tis that young Rontu was taken fram us. We dinnae wish for trouble, but we would like tae know..."

*Raising his amber eyes, he waits for an answer, hoping against hope that there would still be a chance to get the pup he had known back safe and sound.*

*Stormrider had known the question was coming, so she didn't look surprised as he asked it. She tilts her head to the one side as she thought of how to answer his question. The alpha female had nothing against goods or neutrals, so she was ready to answer his question. But the way to answer it would be the difficult part.*
Well, you see, Kashear...You may not believe it, and many don't, but Rontu is Kona...
*she shakes her head, knowing it would be a hard thing to swallow. It was hard enough explaining to the young wolf, but to one that had lived with him from the time he re-entered CWC...Harder. She stands up slowly, but not in a threatening way.*
I know Frack took him right from your pack territory, but I will take the blame for it. I sent him out to look for him...All we wanted was to have Kona back with us...
*A black tail wags and after a few seconds a bush explodes and a big male teen tackles Kash and pins him to the ground. He grins broadly and wags his tail, Storm gets in the way of the whipping tail and gets smacked in the face. She gives a small growl and watches the teen act like a pup.*

*So intent had the tundra wolf been while listening to Stormrider's words, he never noticed Rontu's sneak approach. As he was puzzling over the alpha's answer, the sudden attack took him off-guard, and he was easily pinned under the teen's weight. Before he even thought about his actions, he reacted, instinctively getting his paws under him and shoving himself up, throwing Rontu to the side. Growling, he leaps upon the teen, using his own weight to pin the other wolf to the ground.*

"Who are you? Whit gives ye the right tae attack me? Yer nothin' but....Rontu? Be that you?"

*Rontu barks in surprise as he's thrown to the side and pinned to the ground. His eyes twinkle micheviously, not fazed by the other male's gruff, dangerous sounding voice. Then his ears catch the surprise in Kash's voice. He paws at Kash. He giggles micheviously and grins.*
Who else would I be? I grub-snatchin' toad! Course it's me, Kash!

*The surprise residing in the amber eyes slowly changes into joy, and the silver-frosted tundra wolf released his captive. He cuffed the teen's ears lightly before sitting again, his tail wagging slightly, the only outward sign of his pleasure at seeing Rontu alive and well.*

"You should be mindful o' yer elders, laddie."

He glanced over at Stormrider, evaluating what the white-pelted alpha had said. He would not continue the discussion in Rontu's presence, not caring to upset the young wolf if it wasn't necessary. Scanning the area around them for signs of hostility, he then turns back to the teen.*

"Well then. It seems ye've been doin' well fer yerself. Certainly grown big 'nough, ah have tae say. How 'ave things been fer ye?"

*The black wolf wags his tail happily, practically hopping around with joy. He was glad to see his friend from Morning Shadows.*
I've been good! And how have you been?
*he grins broadly scratches himself behind the ear with a back paw, then shakes his head. His ears flap and make a funny sound and then he laughs.*

"Ah've been doin' well, thank ye. It's been rather quiet since ye've left, so ah figgered ah'd stop by an' see how you were doin'."

*Smiling, Kashear looked fondly upon the teen. He did seem quite happy with the Midnight Darkness pack. Though he couldn't quite bring himself to believe that Rontu was Kona returned, he was content to know that at least his young friend was well cared for and not mistreated. By now Rontu was old enough to know his own mind. If he wished to return to Morning Shadows, he would be more than welcome. If he decided to stay at Midnight Darkness...it was his choice. It saddened Kashear to think that they might lose the young wolf for good, but he knew that he no longer had control of the situation. Turning back to Stormrider, he bowed his head slightly in thanks.*

"Ah thank ye fer yer time, mah lady. It was most appreciated. Ah'm afraid ah must be on mah way now. Rontu, it was great tae see ye again. You take care o' yerself, y'hear? And stop by sometime...ah know Patch would like tae see ye agin."

*He watched Kashear turn to walk away and he whimpers silently. He wanted to see Patch again as well. So he stood up and trotted right past Stormrider and walked alongside Kashear. He was grinning from ear to ear.*

*The male neutral stopped as Rontu caught up to him. Giving the teen a small smile, he nods once.*

"Aye laddie, ah'll do that. Take care o' yerself now, ye ken?"

*Nipping him mischivously, he winks, then trots out of the territory.*
