Did you happen to notice Cat'Man's comments on cur dogs in Texas?

"One of the things that confuses people used to modern show breeds about curs, is that they're not bred like modern show dogs with closed registries. There are registries for some cur breeds now, but a lot of folks still breed just for function. They want dogs that work a certain way. Dogs that work well are kept around and allowed to breed. Sometimes the breeding's managed. Sometimes not. Dogs who don't work well are usually shot (probably not as common now as in the past, but certainly still common)."

LOL Artist would probably die if he thought I was implying that he is haphazardly breeding cur dogs of any sort. I'm not. But note the dispassionate description of the management of dogs that do not work, and the complete lack of reaction to it on PDP.
