Subject: movin on up

1. Bloomingdale: Haven't lost, haven't run. Until they prove otherwise,
they are the team to beat in 4A.
2. Winter Park: Won the Edgewater Invite by an impressive 103 point margin.
USF would have featured a face to face for these top 2 teams. There depth
1-9 (1:07 spread) may prove pivotal as the year goes on.
3. Spanish River: Fell to three, still pretty good even without Berkowitz up
to par. Top 5 was sub 17:30 last week with a sub 17 average.
4. Buchholz: This sophomore heavy team had their top 5 under 17:20 with an
average under 17 at the Ridgeview Invite.
5. Cypress Creek: A sub par week from the Bears still enabled them to finish
2nd at the Edgewater Invite last weekend. Top 5 averaged 17:13.
6. South Plantation: Led by 800M specialist Paul Cross, SP moves into the top
15 after being previously unranked. Their 4th place finish at Healthsouth
and a 17:13 average put them here.
7. Leto: Haven't raced since Winter Haven where their top 5 were all sub 18:00.
8. Lake Brantley: Led by Ade Wise, Brantley was previously unranked and then
finished 3rd at the Edgewater Invite behind CC and WP. Coach Harris has
great expectations for this squad - 2 in the 15's and 3 more under 16:30.
9. Martin County: Solid performance this week, they may move up again next time.
10. Coral Springs: 3rd at FIU Invite, led by Chuck Jones.
11. Boyd Anderson: Out of respect for the Cobras they stay here one more week.
Results from any race they've run would help.
12. Pine Ridge: A year ago Pine Ridge had one of the best front running trios in
the state. 2 of them are still there, the support will improve.
13. Boone: Injuries and a "poor summer" drops the Braves from the top 5. When
Dean Brown returns and the crew races into shape, they'll be contending for
titles.
14. Edgewater: A somewhat surprise 4th at the 22 team Edgewater Invite last week.
Legendary coach Ted Benz has a talented young group to work with.
15. Colonial: Led by the Charles' brothers and great young coach Rene Placensia,
watch Colonial improve throughout the year.
