"My mother is murdered by her own sister. My father is dead for revenging her. Not only have I lost my parents and safety, so has the pack, in shape of their alphas, and now I have to fill that role. You ask me if everything is all right?" He looks at his mate as he speaks, his words a bit sharper than he had ment them to be. Didn't she understand?
Then he sees the unsure expression on her face, the sadness in her eyes, and realizes that's just what she does. With a small sigh he shakes his head, sits down beside her and rests his head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Sierra..." Of course she understood. He nuzzles her lovlingly, and suddenly he gets afraid of loosing her too. They need to get to know each other bether, but that will come with time. For now he is more than happy with the love they share, and just having her there by his side is the best anyone could do for him.

ooc: Me too. I used stars in the beginning, but after a while I figured it was much easier this way. Especially when I wrote for several wolves in the same post and sometimes wanted them to turn their head or something in the middle of a sentence, it often looked more like a pretty messy solar system than a neat and clean piece of information.

She studies the ground a moment, leaning on Acholan.
"I should be the one saying sorry," She says quietly.
"I've let you down..."
Her tail curls around. Letting him down was one of the last things she ever wanted to do and she felt terrible for it. Acholan seemed like a strong, capable of anything male. And here she was...meek. She looks up at him, nuzzling him softly.
"And even if I haven't yet, I will. I'm so sorry."

"Sierra, don't talk like that." He licks her muzzle gently. "I might not know every corner of your personality yet, but I know that whoever you are, I love you for it. You have nothing to apologize for. Don't you know I become happy just by looking at you, knowing you're mine? How can you possibly let me down?"

She gives a wry grin and licks him back.
"I haven't figured that out yet. But I guess if this doesn't kill us, it'll make us stronger."
Her black lips curl to a small smile.
"Besides, it's not what I haven't done to let you down, it's what I'm afraid i'm going to do. Even you know me well enough to know I'm not exactly a leader. And this pack is a part of your life, and I want to help you with it. But I'm glad to be part of your life anyway."

"I wasn't too sure if I wanted to be a leader myself, but suddenly everything happend so fast, and it turned out I didn't have a choise. But don't worry, we'll make it. Whispering Woods shouldn't be the hardest pack to lead, and the others will help us. Speaking of the members; we should think about who should have which ranks. Any ideas?"

She tilts her head to the side, thinking a moment.
"You've been here longer then I have. Why not choose some loyal friends? I don't really know anyone else here, but I've seen you talk to some wolves."
Her paws stretch outward. Who did she know? There had been Sunfinder, she seemed like a nice pup. Not really wanting to make any desicions herself, her eyes peer upward at Acholan.

"Then I think I'll give the beta position to Nicolae. He's my nephew, and young, but I know his parents well and he seems like a good wolf. And maybe he'll get a mate, and then I don't want to loose him to an other pack," he says, thinking loud.

She nods.
"Sounds fine, but since the packs changed it seems we have even more positions to fill."
She gives a small grin at this, all for the heck of wondering how they were going to choose 3 more wolves.
"You seem pretty popular, it's like all the wolves know you and want to talk to you. But then again I guess it's because you've lived here all your life."
Her head tilts to the side and she gets a thoughtful look on her face.
"Maybe i should talk more around the pack," She says aloud, though knowing she had never felt all that comfortable around new wolves.

"Do what you feel like doing, Sierra, and nothing more. That's one of the benefits with being alpha female, you know," he says and twinkles to her. "And my popularity isn't magical. They know me and trust me - well, they have to. They'll come to you too when they get to know you. But I'll deal with the members and organisation if you don't want to," he offers, not wanting the alpha rank to be a burden to her.

"No, I should pull my weight too. I'll try to handle some of the new members."
She shrugs and grins.
"It never looked that hard and I'll get used to it. Plus I want to help out. If this is going to be an equal leadership, I have to do something," She says, knowing that the alpha male usually did have the last say. But like he said, there were benefits of being the alpha female and she didn't want to take advantage of them too much.
