ja das kann man, allerdings find ich das mehr oder weniger sinnlos...du kannst zwar alles flach zeichnen und die dritte koordinate einfach immer 0 setzen, aber OpenGL benützt dann doch immer alle drei koordinaten zum berechnen (soweit ich weiss)...damit verschenkst du rechenpower.....für 2d spiele würd ich SDL benützen.....sdl ist sowas wie das open source pendant zu directx....
