Subject: Help wanted - - - PLEASE! :)

Hi! This thread is going to be left open for jobs to be filled. Of course, for now, all jobs are to be done on a voluntary basis, but when and if GEO gets to a point that we are collecting dues or other money-making-type stuff (please keep in mind ~ WE WILL ALWAYS BE A NOT-FOR-PROFIT), have an office, that kind of thing, that would change, and the people with "jobs" would be the first considered for paying positions ~ just something to think about. GEO will always be a not-for-profit, but that doesn't preclude reasonable salaries when (and if!) we get to that point.

REVIEWERS:

Okay, we've started the correspondence campaigns with Witchblade Full Season for Fall; I have been receiving a steady stream of "signatures", which I am collating into a petition to be sent to TPTB at Witchblade.

The next two things on the agenda are setting up recognition awards and reviews of television series, films and books. I'd like several different reviewers, since everyone's perception is vastly different. Basically, the only requirements for becoming a reviewer is that you write fairly well and are willing to write up several books, series, or films in our fields of course. I will act as editor for now, and anyone who applies will have to understand that I can be very mean with a red pencil. :) E-mail me, please.

SURFERS:

What I'd need from a surfer is just that: you need to be willing to surf the net, searching for links and news of interest. While almost anyone can surf the net, not everyone is able to weed through to find the really good stuff. If you are able to do that, and would like to give it a shot, let me know.

JUDGES:

I will need a panel of people who can demonstrate some intense knowledge of our fields to act as judges for the recognition awards we will be starting up. The submissions will be in the categories of best of website, film, televsion, book, comic book in each of the genre fields (one each for sci fi, horror and fantasy). We will probably also have fave actor/actress, in each ~ or maybe top three, I've always thought limiting to just one was dumb. :) Anyway, if you feel you're qualified to be a judge, I'm looking for ten good people, I will break ties. Please write me.
