State of Rhode island SECTION 1, Chapter 4-12 of the General Laws entitled "Agriculture" is hereby ammemded by
adding thereto the following

Section: 4-12-42: Breeding pit bulls prohibited--Other regulations- (a) No person, owner, keeper or guardian shall intentionally and expressly permit the breedign of any pit bull type dogs withn
this state. All pit bull type dogs in this state shall be neutered or spayed by the time said dogs attains the ago of five months. As useed herein, the term "pit bull -type dog" shall include but is not limited to American Pit Bull Terriers and American Staffordshire Terriers.

(b) All pit bull teype dogs shall be identified through either an American Kennel Club microchip program or tattooed with information identifying the person, owner, keeper or guardian of suchdog. All pit bull-type dogs shall be licensed in the municipality where the dog is kept.
(c) All pit bull type dogs shall be walked on a leash or otherwisee placed under some form of restraint and/or control device when being walked in a public place.

SECITON 2: This act shall take effect upon passage
