Fremont, Ohio City Council to Vote on Breed Specific Ordinance March 7

February 25th, 2002, Cleveland, Ohio.

Details about the actual wording of the ordinance are not available, but it
appears that many of the Fremont area enforcement agencies (Animal Control,
Humane Society, etc) are in support of additional restrictions against pit
bull type dogs. Complaints of loose dogs, and incidents over 12 years old
were cited as reasons for more restrictions.

Responsible dog owners in Fremont and/or Sandusky County are urged to attend
the meeting on March 7, and contact City Council to voice your concerns
regarding breed specific legislation. CFC has requested a copy of the
proposed ordinance, and details will be posted as soon as possible.
