I have a daughter in thel U.S. Marines who is having a hard time. A hard time at 29 Palms lead to a promise of carry over school. She was in the to of her class. She was sent to Camp Pendleton instead. She was taken to the L.A. Airport where she had to find her own way to camp Pendleton at her own expense. The total was over $300. to get to Camp Pendleton (half of her two week paycheck). She saved her reciepts, turned them in only to be told that she had to wait 30 days for her refund. Now she is being required to buy supplies to last her 6 months in Iraq. She has been training at Camp Pendleton and i do not understand why. I thought women were not supposed to fight in an actual war. Or were we lied to by the recruiter, it doesn't matter he's with the Marines and the U.S. I'm sending this letter to my congress man. Remember her fight is only as good as her leaders. Keep things simple. This is a class case of to many chiefs and not engough warriors. For my daughter at the age of 18/2months this is very frightening. Her father and I have told her to refuse to go to combat if told to.
