Subject: Comprehensive Plan electronic newsletter

Last night (Monday, February 21, 2000), the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC) met at Staley Middle School to discuss individual CPAC members comments prior to ending the Comprehensive Plan to the Planning and Zoning Commission on February 29, 2000. Discussion on individual's
comments addressed the following issues: how the jetport should be treated in the text (please see attachment), landowners concerns over rezoning, minimum separation between multifamily complexes, density of single family
developments, retail studies for new retail zoning, removal of all references to environmental considerations in the text, and what constitutes mixed use development.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Center, 8750 McKinney Road. This meeting will be a public hearing to solicit comments from the public and the Planning and Zoning Commission
before the Comprehensive Plan is forwarded to City Council for final approval. All interested parties are strongly advised to attend both meetings.

A copy of the text and CPAC comments will be available in the Planning Department (6875 Main Street) for public review. If you would like a copy of the text and/or comments, please contact the Planning Department at
(972) 335-5540. However, please be aware that there is a copying charge for the documents.
