Subject: Observations on internet politics

Many citizens read Frisco Life and the
story on internet politics. I also read
comments by current council persons.

Politics is a new world to me. Living on
the East side of Preston and having children
in the schools, I became aware of politics
last year in the city election. I am
ashamed of my involvement. I did not
really know any of the people involved, but
was caught up in the cry over apartments
etc. I have a tight group of friends around
the school friends of my two children.
I know that the internet was a big part
of the election,and statements were made,
accusations, etc. that were circulated this
way, behind the backs of the two council
members. I did not know them, and sense have
met and got to know one of the people who
was attacked. These people had no opportunity
to respond, were unaware of the attacks and
ugly statements made about them.
This is not fair...
Politicians that were in office campaigned
door to door against these individuals, and
your earlier observation on ORG is correct.
It became mob rule...it was not ethical...
I look back on this and I am ashamed to be
such a follower and get involved to the
level my husband and I did, and be really
not informed.
This WILL NOT HAPPEN again.
