>The airport is currently under a contract to be purchased by an individual from the Denver, Colorado area. The contract is scheduled to be closed sometime in March, 2000. He has continually told the city staff that his intentions are not to use the ground as an airport. He currently owns a number of acres around the airport to the west, and is currently in the process of negotiations with the city staff to have that land, plus the land involving the airport be zoned in a consistant manner to all compliment itself for use as mixed zoning for MF, PH, Retail, Residential and commercial. We are scheduled for a joint workshop between P&Z, City Council, and the applicant for next Wednesday, March 1 after the joint CPAC workshop, to hear the applicant's proposals. This is a public meeting and all citizens are invited to attend. There will be no action that night, as it is only advertised as a workshop. Any action taken would be on the P&A agenda for the 14th of March, and if not tabled, then on the City Council's agenda for March 21.
