Subject: I'm sorry Brooke..It was either me or him...

Cliff pads in with a glum look on his face. He young puppy-like face was replaced with that of an battle scared adult wolf. His youthfulness had been sucked out of him. He had killed another wolf. His nosed twiched with sadness and his tail hung limp. His neck had been bitten into and had dry blood caking up on it. His back was still slightly bleeding from his fight. He thought to himself, why'd he do it? Why did he let Sky bully him like that? If it wasn't for him(Cliff) Sky would be alive and happy. Then another thought dawned on him, what will Brooke think? I killed her brother. She will hate me now! He padded to a small hidden section in the woods and colapesed. He didn't want to see anyone for fear of shame.

*she noticed a wolf walk into the pack caked in blood and she smelled death about him, the only thing that she could figure, was that he had killed another wolf...*

*pads up to her mate. something's not right about him. she couldn't think of why he'd be upset but then she realizes what it must be. her look of puzzlement quickly changes to sadness she whispers in fear.* no... *she quickly looks away from her mate and looks at the ground. she breathes heavily not being able to believe that it's true*

*cries* Cliff... *she was speechless* w-w-why? *she couldn't hate him for what he'd done but she was scared. if wolves from Sky's pack found out they might even kill him! What was to become of them now? she couldn't believe her brother was dead. She bursts into tears. She's scared and mad and upset all at the same time.*

Cliff sobbed and turned away from his mate. He didn't want to look at the sadness and shame he had caused. He cried somemore. Feeling more glum from the memories of Skys last words. Alls that he wanted was his parents. Cliff teared somemore, he knew wolves from Skys pack would come and kill him now, but he didn't care, he was misrable. The smells and thoughts of Skys death hung over his head like a stone about ready to fall he was about as low as he could go. He got up and sat with his back towards his friends, mate, and pack; knowing his time was short and black.

*Crying she walks over to her mate and nuzzles him* Why did you do it, Cliff. Please... just talk to me. *she licks his muzzle* I won't let them hurt you. *cries into his warm coat. She tries to comfort him.*

she runs in wiping the last of her tears away. She does not sit down, she only glares at Cliff and growls. She bares her teeth and growls even louder. She stands there not saying anything, knowing that this wolf would get her point

Cliff looked at Skys innocent face. "He said he was goind to kill my pups. I wanted them to be safe so I challenged him to a battle not to the death, but just to get my point across. In the middle of the battle he ripped a huge gash in my neck (points to his blood crusted neck). I didn't try to kill him but I was defening myself." He wimpers and gives a very weak smile to her poor mate Brooke. If you still want to kill me I will understand. "I'm sorry. I know I can't bring him back but I can make amends." He puts his head down on the ground and lies there still thinking of Sky. "If I had one wish I would bring him back."

*nuzzles Cliff* It wasn't your fault. It was Sky's anger that caused him to die. His threats and his hate killed him... not you. *licks Cliff's muzzle* I don't want you to die. I love you. If you die I'll have nothing left.

"I would never kill you Cliff, it`s not in my blood to kill, but I promise you that you will pay for what you did goddie, and Midngith Darkness will help in that!

She glares at Cliff one last time, and runs off never to come back to this horrible pack again

"I will stay around only for you Brooke. I love you too." He nuzzles her back, wet tears were still soaking his white pelt. They burned as they fell. Wet tears of hate and anger and all bad things stained the ground a blood red color. He was crying out all his problems. He couldn't understand why Sky had it out for him in the first place. "Sky had always ment to kill me. If it wasn't now maybe later. I still don't think it should have ended that way for Sky. But at least he will be happy. He probally is in heaven with your parents right now."

Cliff watches as IceBlink leaves. "I don't think they will kill me at the momenet." He still looks very glum with his cheaks sagging, but his look did improve a slight bit. He was still in a quite a bit of pain emotionally and physcally. His mind was still raceing with random thoughts. He could still see, smell, hear, and taste, Sky's final moments. He squinted his eyes and shoke his head. He knew he would have to live with those images in his head the rest of his life. But it was his punishment for the way he acted. He just hoped that his future pups would never find out or become like him. He nuzzled Brooke calming her.

*The wolf comes in, eyes red, looking more like a vampire then a wolf. She growls, teeth bared* Cliff! You will pay for what you have done! Sky was not supposed to die and I will make sure that you will pay for what you have done- I promise you that... *Glares*

Cliff looks up gloomly at the wolf. "All my friends are gone, my reasons to live(except Brooke), are gone, my strengh is gone. What more do you want, because if you want my blood, go ahead. I just don't plain care anymore. My pups will be looked down apon and so will me and my mate forever. I don't want that kind of life for eaither of them. Please kill me!" Cliff looks up ready to be killed ready to be another peice of flesh dead.

NO! I'd rather be looked down upon then have you dead. *she nuzzles him* It wasn't your fault Sky went insane. You were defending yourself. No one planned his death.

Cliff still fealing the pain inside of him. "I can't go on with the pain. You have no idea. I love you and I will alway love you but now I'm going. I will always love you and I will see you again, but not in this lifetime." He pads offs to Midnight Darkness to find Lakota.
