Christians may come from many "traditions" but they are united in the Lord. I think that sums it up well.

Christians are reborn in Christ. And as such, while an historical understanding and appreciation of Judaism may be of value in that context, we are born again in the Gospel (good news) under the ministry of Jesus Christ, where our focus should be. This applies as well as to whether we are Roman Catholic, Orthodox or Protestant.

More importantly, adhering to the Jewish dietary laws (while there is nothing wrong with that) and such does not save according to what we know from the Gospel. The way to salvation is through the blood of Christ, shed for that very purpose. Even amongst the various church traditions all are common in acknowledging the importance of the crucified Christ.

One can celebrate Passover and observe the Jewish holidays if one wants to do that. But salvation is olny attained by bending one's knee before the Light of the world.
