Subject: Brothers United Safe House Update

We are praising the Lord as we move along with the house project in Jamaica. I want to thank you all for your continued prayers for this new work. I especially want to thank an annonimous donnor who contributed gernously to the work. I praise God for you!

The project has a name now: Brothers United Safe House. Several of the young men themselves came up with the idea for the name.

We have been able to get the ceilings up in the rooms and a fresh coat of paint on all the walls inside and out. There are now four young men living in the house and helpig with the work. Our maximum will be 12 once all the rooms are ready and furnished.

We got a quote on roof repair as we will need to completely redo the entire roof. The materials will cost just over US$10,000. Please join us in prayer to see this sum released in the near future. We have patched up the existing roof so it won't leak but even a small hurricane could easily lift it off. So we need to redo by summer.

We have more applicants waiting in the wings. So pray for an early release of the funds so we can get them in there and on their way to a brighter furture.

An new opportunity has opened up in the Lifesaving work as well with the Royal Life Saving Society asking me to serve as an Instructor Trainer. The goal is to see a swimming and lifesaving instrucor in every community Island wide. This will mean many jobs and excellent earning potential for our young men who get the certification. Those who want to work at the Hotels as Lifeguards can still do that and those who want to teach can pursue that.

It seems so strange that just a few months ago I was wondering how God was going continueto use me for his work here in Jamaica. I had moved on from the much of the work w hich had kept me busy the past ten years here. Now, as so often happens, I marvel at how God has answered our paryers and brought along an opportunity to shine the Gospel light in a whole new way.

Glory to God! is the cry of our hearts.
