Subject: Advice Needed for beginning Marriage Ministry

Dearest Brothers and Sisters,
As some of you may know, I have been trying to start a marriage ministry for a long time. It is the ministry of my heart, and that of my husband's. We both feel the call for this.
Unfortunately, every attempt through local churches has been shot down, and those ministries already actively working in marriage want us to pay thousands of dollars we do not have (we can barely pay our water bill !) in order to work with them. That has left us with but one option, as we see it, and that is to begin our own.
The question is, how? I would like to hold weekly group meetings and, even though the "cirriculum", as it were, is not a problem, getting both a place to hold them and getting the word out is. Churches are not interested, believe me...I've tried every one I can think of in a three-county-wide area. We live in a rural area and there isn't much to go on. Any suggestions?
