Subject: Explanation of my Absence

I wanted to take this means and opportunity to explain my absence from the Board in recent weeks. On July 7th, while returning home from a Church Service, several wild pigs wandered into the path of my vehicle. Being unable to stop or swerve into another lane due to oncoming traffic, I ended up going into the ditch, at which time I hit two trees and my vehicle came to a rest after hitting a large concrete culvert, completely totaling my vehicle out, and resulting in an open fracture to the right ankle, which now has pins and screws holding it together. I also shattered my right femur and that has been replaced with a metal rod, and also multiple rib fractures. After spending time in ICU, the orthopedic floor, and rehab (a total of 48 days), I am now back at home.Still using a walker and wheelchair to get around, I praise the Lord for keeping his hand on me, and for the healing that has taken place at a much faster rate than the Doctor's had told me. It is truly a miricle to have lived thru such an incident, and to God be the glory.
I am anxious to return to pastoring my Church, and I humbly request your prayers as I continue to recover. May God bless each of you.
In His Service
Pastor James L. Taylor
