Subject: Prayer for the Body

Heavenly Father, I come to You today with thanksgiving and praise. I praise You Father for sending Your Son, Jesus Christ, to save us. Father, I pray as we go throughout this time of hustle, that we may remember that Jesus is the reason for the season.

As I look back on 2007 ‘oh Lord, I thank You for bringing me through trials and tribulations. I praise You for the good times and the bad times. You made me stronger with each trial and blessed me abundantly. Father, I ask that You forgive me for the sins that I committed against You and others and I pray that my loved ones will find it in their heart to forgive me as well. I also ask ‘oh God that You will allow me to forgive myself, for I am my biggest critique. Take away the shame and guilt that I continue to carry. Allow me to become the person You want me to be.

I look forward to 2008 Father, as You continue to lead me in the right direction. I thank You now Father for the blessings that You have in store for me. I praise You for the restored relationships, the healing in my mind, body and spirit, and for using me as a vessel. Father, use my past to strengthen my future. Use my experiences that I have gone through (both good and bad) to be a shining light for someone that may be seeking You.

I lift up my brothers and sisters to You this day. I pray for all those that are sick in mind, body and spirit. I pray that the Deaf hear; the blind see; the lame walk and the mute speak. I pray for those that have been stricken with cancer, HIV, fever, and every other illness imaginable. I ask Father that You touch all Your children from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes. I praise You for their healing.

I pray for all that are suffering emotionally. Be with those that are hurting inside and feel that they have no place in this world. Let them feel Your presence in their lives and give them a sense of belonging. I pray that You will take away the depression, the anger, the guilt and shame that so many people bottle up inside and never let out the right way. I pray for support from family and friends, that they may understand that their loved one is still the same, just going through difficult times. Take away this perception that those that suffer from depression and other illnesses are second class citizens. Let society realize that all people are Your children. Let forgiveness and love fill the air.

I pray for financial blessings in 2008 for all of Your children. I give You thanks for rising up Your people to continue to do Your will. Continue to walk with each of us and guide us.

I praise You and thank You ‘oh God for all that You have done, all that You are doing right now and all that is yet to come. Thank You for the blessings and the love that You have given each of us and allow us to pass that love onto others. In 2008, let us love one another as You have loved us.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I pray, amen and amen!
