Subject: Urgent Prayers for Our Country

Beloved brethren:

This is a time of perhaps the most turmoil of my adult life, and, no matter what your political affiliation, we must all agree that we are at the beginning of birth pangs as the Master said, and that we must keep a close watch and be in "prayer without ceasing" for the well-being of our country...indeed, of our world.

Though my tendency to preach leads me to launch into a political discussion which may not be for this particular blog (Brother Steve??), I at the very least must urge all brothers and sisters in Christ to minister to all they can,to spend your days in supplication, and beg His mercy for our having gone astray, for as His word says in Isiah,
"Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord"...yet we have turned our backs on Him and all He could do to heal our country. remember, brethren, well, the abundant gifts we have been given because of our faith in Him, and praise Him all the day. For "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
