That's a bit of a tangent, I think. And it seems you missed my point. I was talking about UCMI itself (its standing physical presence), not any affiliated ministries or ministries charterd by or ministers licensed/ordained by UCMI, which are, after all, independednt ministries/ministers doing their own thing.

UCMI is a specialized ministry...an ordination ministry. True, it does have an institute. But that is for self-study and not the teaching I am talking about that is found at a church. UCMI, as I understand it from the information it posts, is concerned with equipping ministers to minister. It does not involve itself (as far as I can tell from the information published) in conducting customary church-based services in the areas of worship (preaching, evangelism, sacredotal rights, etc.), teaching (Sunday school, Bible studies, day school, etc.) or pastoral care (counseling, home visits, outreach, etc.) and so on. In this capacity, the analogy you made is faulty, and I am sure that those who meet the required minister's fee and monthly giving are contributing in consideration of this which is not the same thing as supporting the church where one worships. And I don't see the need to mention all the effort. Nor do I feel what was posted in this thread was not productive. In fact, the concern was tabled about dissemination of information and a suggestion was made about how to do it on a regular basis...all for the benefit of the membership. I think this was, in fact, very productive. Again, I think you missed the point, as regards the statement of cutting off dead wood. Who was questioning that? That very matter came up as a result of some wanting to know if the members were meeting their renewal fees and monthly giving, and I think it was noted that if they are not so be it, cut them loose. I think that concern was at the forefront of this thread. Perhaps, before admonishing others, you should reread this thread. I think you will see that there were some valid questions and concerns posted...done so with the best intentions and not in any unproductive way.

Blessings...
