Oh, Brother Robert...I am sorry that I did not see this post until now, but I Praise Him that He led me to it eventually.

Allow me to give you some "secular" hope, if I may...
First off,as the Lord said, man is inherently evil, and if you weren't blessed with the stature that you are, it would be something else...either you'd be too tall, too dark, too thin, too something...and society's view of perfection changes at the drop of a hat. Don't think you're the only one who weeps silently.

But not all think this way.

I, for instance, am 5'10"...pretty tall for a gal...but here's the fun part...my husband is exactly 4'10", a whole foot shorter than I. We met as teenagers. Not only did we, do we, have society's frowning face upon us at all times, but our own PARENTS...bless them...actively sought for over 20 years to keep us apart in the misguided notion that we should be with someone "more like ourselves".Ergo, both of us "settled" in marriage for an unholy union with drunkards (the only people who we thought would accept us).

Fortunately, God had His hand on it, and through sad but at least Scriptural divorces, finally, after 25 years of friendship, we were able to marry each other. We have now had a wonderful marriage for 10 years and don't see it slowing down yet !!

The point is, my brother, that all is in God's own time. All good things come to he who waits, even though it seems insurmountable.

Society will always be filled with those who cannot see, and you cannot change their hearts..only the Lord can do that...so please, next time you hurt, just consider the source of ignorance and of hardened hearts, and allow the Lord to fill you in the fullness of time.

Peace be with you in Christ's Name.
