Hi Brother,

I understand your concern in these matters. However, scholars on both sides have argued the differences for many years now and there are many good books that deal with supporting the truth of God's Word. For expample why include Mark and Luke when you mention only John mentions some things when all the disciples were present? Well of course Mark and Luke were not members of the 12 so of course thier perspective will be different. Every writer writes to tell a specific story. To understand why some details are included and others not we must know, as best we can, why each writer wrote. What specific part of the story was the Holy Spirit emphasizing through each one?

I will not attmept to answer these questions here but refer you to some of the books that I have found helpful.

The New International Encyclopedia of Bibile Difficulties
The Fundamentals - almost 100 years old and still relevant
Biblical Interpretaion Past and Present

I could list more but am sure that you will find your way if you look around for more books on these themes. Know for sure that many have wrestled with these issues. Some have spent their whole lives investigating and researching and they still affirm the truth of God's word.

Ultimately I must suggest that without faith it is impossible to please God. Mankind will always be able to poke holes in the life of Faith God has called us to. Thier arguments many be very convincing on the surface. Only God himself can carry you through and this by a walk of faith. We can trust him even when we can't answer all our critics right away. He will lead us and guide us into all truth not by fact or research but by faith.

I hope these few words have been helpful.
