Subject: What is God after?

What is God after? Who does God love? Who does He honor? who does He commit Himself to? simple questions, yet ones that will require some thought.
All of these questions lead to the same answer. Though God loves the whole world, He does not commit Himself to honor everyone, only those who does His will.
Does God honor the unrepentant,non believing person of Jewish descent more than the gentile believer who abides in Christ and who is surrendered to His Lordship? The Lord's word tells us time and time again, from the O.T through the N.T, He is after our hearts.
Lets take a look at one of the things that Christ says about this;
Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Mat 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
If God destroys Jerusalem and the temple time and time again, because of disobediance, and the scriptures tell us that the law was a school master until Christ came,and now we have a better inheritance than they, why do we continue to cleave to the old testament traditions and O.T ways(that never brought life) more than we cleave to the Spirit, nad the New covenant?
Just some thoughts.
