You could get a federal tax/employer number as a measure of recognition of your ministry's name. Also, some counties allow one to register a "doing business as" name for a small fee and this gives your ministry a hallmark as doing business under a registered name. And, some offices of the various secretaries of the states will help with registering a business (even a ministry business) with the state. As for "protecting" your ministry's name, that might require the services of a lawyer. As to the website question, just look around at the various hosting sites and do what works for you. At present, we use a nice little inexpensive host that is ad/banner/pop-up free which does make it all look more professional. We might go with another site in the future but this one works for us for now and we have had some nice comments about it.
