Brethren, I seek opinion on this. Since I heard of my mother's death, I have been seeking to send special prayer for her. I do not know whether in the end, she had accepted Jesus into her heart, and every time I went to pray about it, my mind just went blank.

So I did something I've never had to do before...I prayed for what to pray for !!In less than 24 hours time, what was put on my heart was this:
"Pray for yourself. Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead."

Now, before that comes off as my being callous, let me explain what I gleaned from those words...
"I AM the Lord your God. Only I will take of her now. The best thing you can do for her now is to support the rest of her family and perfect YOUR walk with Me."

I thought of David , who prostrated himself and would not eat in fervent supplication for the son of he and Bathsheba...but when the child died, David rose, anointed himself, and took food, for as he said, "I shall go to him, but he will not return to me".

Certainly any advice from you who are so much more learned than I are welcome, but so far what has been put here for me has given me peace...and a new meaning.

Please continue to pray for my stepdad, Marion, who is all alone now...

Blessings to all !
