The naturely small gryphoness hurtles through the air to pull up abruptly with a downward thrust of her strong wings. She has no experience with fighting and so has only her fear of the thing [which is little] and her ferocity.

It takes her a minute to understand at least partly what Sirith was doing. Then, she dove around the other Queen to join in the battle with the snake-head. Her beak opens to sound a challenge and she moves swiftly, talons first, through the air towards the creature's eyes.
