'Well, it'll have to do,' he thought. He brandished his sword, his wings slightly open and then struck. In one fluid motion he leaped and brought his sword down onto a limb, his feet going against the trunk for a moment, then turning a backflip and landing in a crouch. He brandished his weapon again and took to the tree in a mad movement slicing a gigantic 'X' in the bark. He turns and walks away only to suddenly turn and throw the sword. Slam! The blade went in, in the exact center of the 'X'. Chrestomanci narrowed his eyes in concentration and leaped, his wings pulling back air, landing nimbly upon a limb and pulling his sword from the bark.
