Jah blanched and was about to protest, but Chres shoved her away with his free hand. Jah hit the sand hard and got quickly to her feet, her eyes wide. Chres suddenly releases Windris and steps back, blood dripping from his lips. He shakes his head to clear his mind, and to keep his mind from taking the rest of her blood and leaving her to die. Ice Mist wouldn't like it if he destroyed a capable warrior. Jah spoke, her voice trembling, "What is happening to you, brother?" Chres looked at her and Jah was forced to turn away from his gaze, "Do not be so naive, child, I am what we are." He wiped the blood from his lips.
