Why won't she talk to me? I didn't think that I said anything all that bad, I simply pointed out that she had a history of making the same kind of mistakes, perticulerly with relationships and that if she wanted to avoid some of the pain which she'd had to go through repeatedly before in the past, that maybe she should be a little more careful with some of her choices, and maybe be on alert a little more for the 'warning signs', little keys to focus in on, to tell when something might go bad, or at least to keep her on guard. That didn't come out quite right, and I'm guessing it didn't come out quite right when I was talking to her in the first place, but why can't she understand that I'm just trying to help, and that I don't *like* to see her upset, so I want to help her stay out of that kind of trouble again.

She got this hurt look on her face though and started acting like *I* was attacking her or trying to make her feel bad, then she started saying, "You of all people should know that it's not like that, and it's none of your business anyway, so why don't you just keep your nose in your own life for once" and then walked away all mad. I considered following after her trying to explain myself and smooth things over, but she wasn't going to have any of it anyway -- I could tell that -- so I would just be wasting energy. Anyway, so now she's not talking to me, and I'm sure she'll come around eventually, or we'll just forget it all and pretend like it never happened and getting back to the way we were -- I guess I'm looking forward to that, but also I know that once it gets back to the way it was, she's just going to make the same mistakes again and end up hurt and angry and depressed, and I DEFINATELY cannot say "I told you so" when that happens, because if you think she's upset now, you couldn't even IMAGINE what it would be like if I said that. So I won't. I'll just keep my mouth shut and try to be the best friend to her that I can.

What else can I do?
