Happy Clash Day! And on this oh-so special day of the year I'm dusting off The Legend of Zelda, an 8-bit classic if my memory serves me. Ha ha!

And just for you Clash, I'll be doing the ultimate Zelda challenge-- swordless questinh!! Yes, Clash, before you start shaking your head in utter disbelief, let me assure that it is quite possible! Remember: you do have an assortment of other items (i.e., bombs, boomerang, arrows, the wand) to make it through the game.

Ugh. Just died. Heh. No problem, though! I'll remember the overworld map in two flaps of a keese's wing (the bats). I'll remember, crystal clear, or my name isn't Dougie "8-bit Memories" Hampton!

Feh. Died again. Dammit, just got taken out by the same Octorok as last time.

One of the keys to swordless question..heh...I *mean* questing (my backpsace key doesn't work() is to avoid unnecessary fights at all costs. Especially wizzrobes and darknuts.

But Clash, I'll tell, the one sad fact about swordless question..lol! did it again. ahem..QUESTING is that you cannot defeat Gannon without a sword. That's right, bombs and arrows won't work. Even though I'm often told that Ganon can be killed with bombs, experimentation has shown me otherwise. I just tell'm, "Hey, try again, you could be surprised, or more precisely: disappointed."

Well, wish my luck! Shit. Died again. And again, wait! no! I still have half a hea--died again. Damn.

And Clash-- when I'm not fondling looking back on my 8-bit memories, I'm reading the CLASH FILES!
