"Dialogue in today's commercially published video games sucks."

I admit, I have so little experience with the thing I'm supposed to be poignant about, that I find myself lacking when confronted with the above request. For that, I apologize. But let's just look at my current/past high-rotation gaming selection, and we'll see that I am woefully unprepared to assist you with this.

Game: Rollercoaster Tycoon
Sample Dialogue: "WHEEEEEE!!"
Verdict: Can't get much better than that.

Game: Counter-Strike
Sample Dialogue: "fuk u fagit, lololol omfgomfgomfgomfg"
Verdict: Whaddya gonna do?

Game: Go
Sample Dialogue:
Verdict: It's a quiet, pensive game.

Game: GTA3
Sample Dialogue: "I want you to make this problem go away."
Verdict: Functional, not overtly horrible, and who really cares anyway?

Game: Tropico
Sample Dialogue: "El Presidente! Your people call for elections!"
Verdict: I like being called El Presidente at all times.

Game: Tiger Woods PGA 2002
Sample Dialogue: "No, the fairway is over *there*."
Verdict: FUCK YOU, DAVID FEHERTY!!!!!!!

Game: Flight Simulator 2002
Sample Dialogue: "Mooney 1 Echo Sierra, turn left heading 250, descend and maintain one thousand nine hundred until established on the localizer."
Verdict: Stop, you're making me SO HOT.

So, you see, as far as dialogue goes in the games I play, I really don't have a big problem. I think it's YOU that has the problem here, not ME.
