My family used to launch our boat from the park at the end of 5th ave. years ago, long before the waste treatment plant was built. How did the residents of ER allow it to go up? It must have made property values go down. Can nearby residents smell anything coming from the plant? Also, how does waste get to the plant? Are there trucks running along 5th all the time?

The trucks come in from Brookhaven and some from other states.
Many people have worked hard to stop it.
The plant has helped to harm the area.

The Sewage plant is on the County's land. The Village has no control over it. Everything south of Franklin Street/Williamson Street is owned by the County. If you want to try and protest to them, I wish you the best of luck. However, they are in a tight money situation and it would take a lot to send them packing.
