Subject: Ticket Sales for Northwich

How are ticket sales going? Over in Northwich we`ve heard differing reports- some that you`ve sold your allocation- others that only ½ have gone. All I can say is- you`ve got our best standing accommodation (view from the seater stand is also fab) so it`d be a shame if the rumour of a boycott - far more wins than us!- is true. Get along- you`ll all be close to the pitch with a bird eye view. Safe trip to all!

I think we've sold at least half of the tickets. Unfortunately with two away defeats in a row and the bad publicity concerning Drill Field, some people will definitely be put off.

Wh gave the bad publicity concerning the Drill Field?

The official Hull site and local paper both ran stories about how the ground had been given a bigger capacity, and questioned whether this was done for financial reasons. Jimmy Quinn's comment along the lines that safety people were being unfair and too strict were also used. The worries did die down when the full plans were revealed, though.
