Searching for my twin brother

Iam a female born in Detroit Michigan, My birthdate is June 12 1957 I've been told all my life that I have a twin brother out there somewhere. His name is possibly Gary, I was told that he was given away at birth to someone on my mothers side of the family, and could possibly of been taken to another state like Virginia, Kentucky or any other southern state. My mothers name was Janet Francis Slayton, and my fathers name was Richard Samples. Both my parents are deceased now and I know nothing.
