Subject: Looking for son put up for adoption in 1972

I am trying to locate a son born to me on 01/19/1972 in San Bernardino California. He was put up for adoption immediately. I have wanted to look for him for so long, but did not, I guess out of fear of him not wanting me to find him. I know I cannot be his mother, he has one. I would just love to meet him, to see that he is OK, to know that I made the right decision on chosing adoption, and see what kind of person he is. I am going to search every way I can find until I do find him. If I am told that he knows that I am looking for him and he says he does not want me to know anything about him, I will have to accept that, it won't be easy. I hope he does not hate me for chosing adoption. I am hoping that a loving family who had the means to give him a good life adopted him.

He has been in my heart for the past 31 years and always will be. I still shed many tears over my decision to put him up for adoption, but I still feel I did the right thing for him. His father and I were very much in love, but young. We did not have to means to care for him. There are so many families who have the means but for some reason cannot have children of their own.
