Egress Pictures is casting for a horror feature called CANNIBAL TABOO, to be shot August 2002. This incredible film is sure to go down as one of the greatest scary films ever made! Director Jeffrey H. Aikman is making sure this film will scare the pants off anyone!
Film is to be shot in Los Angeles, CA.
We're looking to cast the following roles (no SAG, please):
Luke Hendricks - Early to mid 20's, lean, good-looking. A little bit of an edge. The movie's protagonist.
Rebecca Hendricks - Early to mid 20's, pretty but withdrawn. Luke's fraternal twin sister. Frustrated ex-genius. Undergoes transformation from mousy shy girl to uninhibited seductress.
Paul Hendricks - 18 to mid 20's. Luke's brother. Classically good looking but hopelessly neurotic. Intensely agoraphobic, but a genius. Having an incestuous affair with Rebecca.
Matthew Hendricks - 18 to mid 20's. Luke's other brother. All-American golden boy, but with tragic undertones.
Janet Maslin-Hendricks - Early 30's to 40's, but able to play younger. Luke's mother, and the "Cannibal" of the title. Must be lean, athletic & uninhibited.
Cliff Hendricks (Younger) - 30's to 40's. Janet's husband, a jungle explorer. A real square-jawed pulp hero type.
Cliff Hendricks (Older) - 40's & up. In the present, Cliff's a sickly quadruple amputee. We're looking for either a real amputee, a thin contortionist who can conceal his arms, or a little person with an average-sized head but diminutive limbs.
J. Edward Marillion - Late 40's & up. Jovial Southern gentleman on the surface, pure evil underneath. A Strother Martin type.
Annie Tamblyn - Late 20's to early 30's. A hotshot young TV producer, eager and a little bit opportunistic.
Mr. Prim - 30's & up. Tall, gaunt, silent. An undead hitman, of sorts (picture the ghostly chauffeur in BURNT OFFERINGS).
Cecilia - 30's. A member of Marillion's cult. Outrageous and uninhibited, she's part pagan seductress and part soccer mom.
The Ballardi Sisters - Three big-haired Long Island girls (one mortal and two vampires).
Drifter - Similar physically to Matthew, but dirty and downtrodden. Maybe missing some teeth.
Gretchen - 20's. Luke's girlfriend, a college student.
Also needed: assorted pagans, for party sequence.
Crew-wise, we're looking for:
DP's/Cameramen - If you have your own high-end DV camera, or access to one, that's a definite plus.
Production Assistants - Extra hands on the set who are willing to work for the experience (this position won't pay much, if anything).
Location Scout - Anybody who can get us a fairly large Victorian house for little or no money, and/or a large backyard bordering on some woods.
