Fred and I were leafing through the booklet (Pillar of Fire, Pillar of Truth) you gave him and he wanted to ask you a question.
The quote he is referring to is on Page 22 under "What we must do to be saved". It says the Catholic Church teaches what the apostles taught and what the Bible teaches: We are saved by grace alone but not by faith alone (which is what "Bible Christians" teach; see James 2:24

James 2:24
24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. (NKJ)

**We thought it fair to share with you something that was NOT included in what Bible Christians believe. Look at Pauls letter to believers in Ephesus.

Eph 2:8-10
8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works,
lest anyone should boast.
10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (NKJ)

We believe the Scriptures are clear that by God's grace, believers are saved by BELIEVING ALONE "not" by works. Bible believers believe that works are the "RESULT" of believing because of our gratitude to God as an act of love,--- NOT for justification.

The question is how does the Catholic Church interpret the term "born again" for Catholics?
