If what you are telling dj about checking the ISP#. Why hasn't anything been done concerning sola, sak47, gerard and so on?

- because very little can be shown and proven beyond a doubt, without a legal search warrant of ISP equipment. We are left to fend for ourselves for the most part, and decide for ourselves as well.

If they have a place to get a different ISP for protection.

- who is to say WHY? Perhaps its for protection, and perhaps its for a more aggressive reason? Gaming sites are terrible for port sniffers, and I recommend to anyone they use a proxy at a lot of gaming sites frankly.

How can you get information on a person?

- the information is about the internet connection, not the person.

I am confused on this because you say gerard has been doing this for years, he has never been caught.

- myself, I am saying that Gerry has been doing this for years and HAS been caught, and often. Explicitly busted. One such exmaple had him posting as Mary and gerard both within minutes of each other, and both flaming me. I took scrreen captures and posted THEM. The IP# was identical, but Gerry must have forgotten to turn off the proxy, because both posts had the same IP#. This was done on 2 different boards too.

So why are you giving DJ this info and it has not worked for you?

- I can't answer for Jack, but from my perspective its to assist and share, more than be the final word. Its like an ongoing assessment where we compare notes. What I have found is that Jack and WOG have the same story to tell that I do, or Truthseeker does, and many others too.

Besides that, This person who ever it is has a right to free speach.

- wrong. Free speech pertains to the publics right to address government, wheras these boards are private places. We have as much free speech here, as we do in Wal-Mart. ie: we can say whatever we please so long as wal-mart lets us. "Wal-Mart" in this case is VOY.

- maybe he does, but even if he does, he doesn't misuse and abuse that... that I can see. The post by "Donald" for example, talked about issues that pertain to these boards, and had nothing bad to say about anyone.

And you have done the same thing as you accuse gerard of doing. (not trying to be mean here).

- not sure of that... maybe. I'd sooner be the focus of Gerrys attention than to see what he is posting about you, DJ, or others... simply because he doesn't and never has 'got to me'.

This person may very well contact The social services and it will only prolong her case.

- nah, the day social service decisions are based on internet gossip and flames is the day the internet and social services cease to operate. Its a Springer-like threat, made to make you worry. Just like how he threatened to have my house raided. Its old hat, and something that once you see it for what it is... is worthless tripe.

It may even be damaging to her in the long run. They have to check out ever case that comes in.

It is just something I would consider.

- its a possibility, I grant that, however a slim one. I recommend to DJ to post less about personal things... but she won't hear me. Woody said to her the same thing. Look, people use these boards for different reasons... some people to make friends... I am not like that... but I think DJ is. Anyone who takes such personal info to these boards is naive in believing that its read by decent people ONLY, or friends ONLY or people that have no ill intent anyway. Its for these reasons IMV that you use "Shy" or WOG uses "WOG", and not your real names.

And better yet it is a board I would stay away from. What point is everyone trying to make?

- my point is only that the same person who attempted to destroy WOGs, is still at it, and he is getting away with murder because people like me have asked WOG to refrain from any of this nonsense, which he has done, but he has also strayed from pinning the tale on the donkey.
