I'd be happy to answer your question. I have a problem with my church's teaching on celibacy for the priests (I think we have to be realistic and appeal to more straight oriented men in the priesthood) and birth control should be allowed so girls aren't faced with unwanted pregnancies or aborton.
I don't have much of a problem with the essential doctrine of my church, but one of the central tenets is that the communion bread and wine become the physical blood and body of Christ. Catholics accept that by faith. I think Jesus only taught his Apostles that at the last supper with them as the way to remember him. I am trying to accept that Christ becomes physically present at Holy Communion, but I feel he is always present and don't think communion is more than symbolic. That is considered heretical in my church.
What denomination do you belong to? Or are you unaffiliated with any church?
