Subject: Many atheist can tell when..

Many atheist can tell when a theist runs out of gas in an argument and kissed dirt. Some
times it is the first words out of their mouth. They revert to their foolishness, try to make
insults, but at best just prove how wrong they are and degrade themselves as a person,
bringing further disgrace to their god.

I have met many Christian and Muslims that have real class. Smart people, well learned
and well studied in theology, sciences and life experience. They hold my respect as
people first and they do their religion justice so others will behold their personal beliefs as
justified. They are introspective and tolerant. Not looking for minor errors or personal
flaws of others but enjoying good conversation, the experience of learning new ideas
shared by an other persons perspective.--- and they hope learn as I do.

Then there are the low lives that are so bigoted and ignorant all they can do is insult,
condemn to hell and think they did a loving God justice. They think they are scoring
points for an intelligent god but they, at best, drive people away from any such god beliefs
because if that is what your religion has made out you then I am not interested.

When it comes down to god beliefs there is one overriding factor-- What can your god do
for me and show me the reality of it. Show me how life is improved. Show me your people
skills and not in your ability to insult.

I have enjoyed talking to people that did nothing express the one thing they are a
professional at--their own experience in life. It always makes me smile that a person has
found good and meaning to an other wise dry life, in a god faith. I find no fault. There are
some good points to religion weather it is Bible based or Koran ,or even New Age
material, not to mention Wicca and other nature based spirituality as it means to them.
For a person to degrade an others, for what ever progress they have made, is to ignore the
first steps of faith that they them self took.... this makes them very closed minded and just
nasty to be around.

I do believe in an intelligence greater than myself but to date I have only found it in other
people, so I like to associate with higher intelligence. Perhaps some will rub off on me. I
could use that.

It is a sad thing when sophistication is defined as to how much you can degrade some
one.
