Saved from unrighteousness. Too many people want to thrust it out into the future only. What God came to do is give us life and lift more abundantly through righteous living.
Secondly he saves us from DEATH. Many times the word hell is used interchangeably with that shadowy death state Hebrews spoke but didn't elaborate. Today, the church has turned that into Dante's Inferno (Dante by the way was an opium addict).
In Christ we have a guarantee of resurrection. Did we always have this promise before Christ? And Jews do not believe in everlasting hellfires like we've been taught. Did Christ both usher in the good news and the existece of eternal hell at the same time?
