Hi Squeak, You sound BUSY. Don't give up. Keep up the good work. ;0)

We're finishing up a lean-to onto the barn, then we're starting a 12 by 24 deck off of the upstairs area on the farm house. Then french doors onto the deck.

We have to work on the city house to get it ready to rent to singles with no pets. They'll room together on two floors while we have access to the downstairs.

The garden will come in just any minute. I'm ready for it too.

The girls are watching home movies from about nine years ago. I need to get them on cdrom.

My mom had such a wonderful time here. She was here for a week. She raves about it. We had dinner on the plaza and went to the museum for the egytian exibit. It was ok. I took her to my favorite antique book store in Lawrence Ks. Vagabond Books. We went to a few other antique stores as well. I got an old door knocker that I'm real proud of and an old set of door knobs made of alabaster. I had a door that needed it, here at the farmhouse.

We have a new horse named Dakota, he's a paint. I took him for a ride to the lake and found out how much he likes water. He lowered us both down into the lake. I hopped up in time to keep from getting the cell phone wet. But I rode back in wet shorts and shirt. It was fun. He spooked and I fell off of him. It was an adventure to be sure..........

The back nine have been harvested of the farmers wheat. He won't be planting any more crops. Now I need a tractor.

We built a chicken pen, and planted a couple of grape vines on the SE side. It should grow up and over the top of the wire providing them with good shade next year. My old grape vine got the black rot this year. It may have to be destroyed totally. I don't know this for sure.

We bought five laying hens and they provide just the right amount of eggs for us. The strawberry plants have started blooming again. The mulberry tree really put out this year. My feet stayed purple for a week. LOL

It's always one thang or the other..........
