Subject: communion..again it is a way of life
In reply to: WOG 's message, "Well then do you give yourself communion?" on 20:37:42 04/20/02 Sat

Again you are jumping to your own conclusions. Christ is the head of the body...the church. If I need help to fight against sin in my life I call on Christ through prayer...I ask Christ to help. I can do this wherever I please anytime of the week. Again you know nothing of who I meet or gather with. Is Christ not the temple of the living God? I feel you are judging me according to appearance. I am truly free in Christ. Many parts but one body. I know full well that I am held accountable for my decisions and my conscious is clear on this matter. I do not see you encouraging me in the slightest but rather trying to find fault in my life according to your interpretation of scriptures. You know not what I do. You are correct in saying that Jesus left us an example and like I said I do my upmost best to reflect this within my life.

KJV

[Luke 22:17] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves:
[Luke 22:18] For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come.
[Luke 22:19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me.
[Luke 22:20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

[1Cor 10:16] The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
[1Cor 10:17] For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.

[Col 1:10] That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;
[Col 1:11] Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
[Col 1:12] Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
[Col 1:13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
[Col 1:14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
[Col 1:15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
[Col 1:16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
[Col 1:17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
[Col 1:18] And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
[Col 1:19] For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
[Col 1:20] And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
