Bob, I also was with the 540th in Qui Nhon but in Dec 68 to Mar 69 after returning from the 7/17th Air Cav in Pleiku. I ran the sheet metal shop at 540th. Sp/5 then. Do you remember Bob Mackey, also a CC on Chinook ? Can you remember the time the airfield got over run on the airforce side of the runway? Remember swimming in the S. China Sea?
Lately , I find that things I did 30 years ago are somehow important now. Would like to trade memories if you're interested. Waiting to hear........Jack Hoffman
