I served with Co. D 589th. Engr. in 1967. I went across the great Pacific on the U.S. Gen. John Pope arriving in April 1967. At first our unit was assigned to build an airfield in Happy Valley and then stayed at the pumping station at the bottom of the pass and worked on the pass etc. I kept in touch with Ron Price from Calif. and we visited each other quite often until his death in April 2000. Welcome home!
